Through a variety of ministries we care for and train children from
diapers to discipleship. Teachers and helpers are equipped to
effectively teach little ones the basics of Christianity.
Attended Nursery (birth – 2 years)
Available in northwest hallway during Sunday
morning worship; staffed by adult women.
Nursing Mothers’ Room
Available in northeast hallway
Training Room
Soundproof room with view of auditorium for
parents to train children to sit quietly during worship.
Bible Classes (18 months – grade 6)
Comprehensive Bible teaching on Sundays at 9:00am and Wednesdays at 7:00pm.
Our children’s Bible classes are one of the biggest reasons families
like Northside! Students from kindergarten through fourth grade
participate in the Safari to the Son program and rotate through
workshops on Storytelling, Drama, Music & Memory, Games, Geography, and
“Creation Station.” Students in 5th and 6th grade have their own special
class in the Loft 252 room to prepare them for being a part of the youth
group.
Children's Camps
(9 to 18 years)
During the
summer many children attend
Silver
Maple Camp,
a church of Christ sponsored camp near Kingman, Kansas. Children learn more about God and spend
time with their friends in an outdoor setting.
Oklahoma Christian
University also offers several camps for kids on their campus. Camp
Impact (4-6th grade), Camp Cornerstone (6-9th grade), and Camp Zenith
(9-12th grade) offer kids a Bible-based theme in a dorm-like setting.
Teen Camp is a retreat for kids that are in the
Youth Group.
Children’s Ministry (3 years – grade 6)
Training and activities outside of regular
Bible classes including Children’s Training Hour on Sunday mornings,
KAMP (Kids and Moms Play), and much
more.
